Ben Drew

Plan B or Ben Drews whom is an English rapper, singer, songwrite, actor and film director, his official name is - Benjamin Paul Ballance-Dre. He was born on 22nd October 1983. He is an hiphop artist and he began releasing his debut album 'who needs actions when you got words' in the year 2006. His second studio album 'defamtion of stricklands banks' in the year 2010 thus suggesting over the years he has been able to make something out of his career of his rapping, singing, songwriting and acting. He was a sould record and strived to attain all his goals within life hence him going straight into the UK album charts at number one due to his determination and dedication towards his work life. He has also collaborated with other artists, showing he is able to work as a team with others. He worked with Chase and Status which made their album top ten single, which was released in 2009 called 'Eng credits'. He also has a successful film acareer as an actor, with roles within a famous U.K film 'Adulthood' within the year 2008, 'Harry brown' in 2009 and '4.3.2.1' in 2010, this shows him being able to move between his singing career and acting, he had released them all a year after, thus showing how determine he was to be successful. Two years after he had released Ill Manors in 2012, which he had both written and directed, and Plan B also relseased an accompanying soundtrack album which had became his second number one album, as he had worked very hard within the release of this film, it had taken him time to get it all done as he had played many roles within the release of this, him taking on board so many main roles at once shows how determine he was and shows he has good leadership skills and manager skills. 
Ben Drew was born and brought up in Forest Gate, in East London. His mother worked within the local authority and his father had played in a punk band. They all brought home good money, to earn themselves a living. His father had left him when he was five months old and he also didn't have any contact with his dad after he turned 6, as he didn't bother to contact him, this made him lose hope within life and he felt outcasted from the rest of the society. When Ben was 11 years old, he attended Anglo European school in Ingatestone, essex, but then he got transferred to Tom hood school, a specialist science college in Leytonstone, before being expelled and sent to Tunmarsh Pupil referral unit in Newham, for children unable to attend mainstream school. However, despite all the trouble which had been caused within his childhood and all the disruption, he still managed to leave school with 3 GCSE's. He was fond of playing the guitar so thus him teaching himself how to play it at the age of 14. He was into the creative side of things, thus him being good at music and drama, which he has taken on board within his future career as such now. He began writting love songs for R&B songs, however he didn't think this was the right path for him when he hit 18 he turned towards rap and hip hop music, which he thought he fitted in best, then he wrote the song "Kidz" this was due to him being inspired by the murder of Damilola Taylor. He has had many inspirations and role models, which have motivated him to do the career he is doing, despite going through all the trouble he did, he has become a successful man. Plan B first appeared with the track "Cap back" which was produced by DJ wonder on the grime compilation album 'run the road' which was released in 2005, this was released in the same year as his first ever single "Kidz" which he wrote at the age of 18.
